Sean Patterson
Native American English speaker Sean Patterson has been helping others with English for 31 years (no joke). He has been teaching TEFL courses since 2005 when he taught MBA candidates at Thunderbird School of Global Management, his alma mater.
When he is not teaching English, he is producing great stories for Sizzle Real. His current priority is developing five feature films, including Midnight Sun, Smetanovo 5, and Sophie. He is also co-creative multiple series: Kavfefe (mockmentary), Monochopsia (sci-fi), Northern Lights (dark comedy), Odeceixe United (dark comedy), The Challenger (sports docuseries), and Around the World in New York (entertainment). Sizzle Real’s projects have been featured at NEM, Conecta, Heart of Europe, Series Mania, and Seriencamp. He also serves as a Final Cut Pro consultant to other editors and teaches tennis and public speaking, in his spare time.
He also holds a Bachelor of Arts from Nebraska Wesleyan University (USA) and attended the University of Warwick (UK) studying political science, computer science, and European business management and law.
Meet your instructors
Vasco Viana
Native English and Portuguese speaker Vasco Maria Basto Viana is a Portuguese writer and director based in Copenhagen. His teaching background extends beyond 10 years. He holds a BA in Fine Arts from ESAP (2013) and a Master’s in Contemporary Art from FBAUP (2015).
After discovering his passion for cinema in Barcelona, where he wrote and directed his first short films, he pursued a Master’s in Directing at FAMU in Prague, graduating in 2023.
Between 2018 and 2023, Vasco directed over fifteen short films, music videos, and theater plays, including the award-winning Departures, Fantasma, and Split Leap. He founded the Grand Acting Studio in 2020 and co-founded Sizzle Real in 2022. In 2024, he relocated to Copenhagen to explore Scandinavian cinema. Currently, he is developing three series for international distribution: Monochopsia, Odeceixe United, and Northern Lights.
